Helping Wildlife one garden at a time
What we do in our home gardens and outdoor spaces has an immense impact on wildlife. My intention here is to document the wildlife that visits my garden as well as provide information and resources about the flora that supports wildlife in the Dominican Republic. My first wildlife garden was in my Watertown, Massachusetts property in the USA. In the US I had many resources available to help with my endeavors. Creating a wildlife garden on my property in Abreu, Cabrera on the north coast of the Dominican Republic has been far more challenging as there are limited resources, and limited native plant nurseries.
